The basic principle of solid phase extraction vacuum device:
Solid-phase extraction (Solid-Phase Extraction, referred to as SPE), is an extraction process including liquid and solid phase, is widely used and popular sample pretreatment technology. It separates the target compound from the sample matrix through the force between the compounds to be separated and the bonded functional groups of the filler, and then elutes with the eluent or desorbs by heating to achieve the purpose of separating and enriching the target compound. It is developed on the basis of the traditional "liquid-liquid extraction (LLE)" using the principle of similar compatibility between substances and combining the basic knowledge of the currently widely used liquid chromatography (HPLC) and gas chromatography (GC) stationary phases.
In the solid phase extraction process, the attractive force of the solid to the analyte is greater than that of the sample mother liquid. When the sample passes through the SPE cartridge, the analyte is adsorbed on the solid surface (other components pass through the SPE cartridge with the sample mother liquid). The analyte adsorbed on the solid surface is then eluted with an appropriate solvent.
SPE is divided into four types according to the principle: reverse SPE (RP-SPE), forward SPE (NP-SPE), ion exchange SPE (IE-SPE) and adsorption SPE (Absorbt-SPE). In most cases, solid-phase extraction is used to process liquid samples, such as extracting, concentrating and purifying volatile and semi-volatile compounds in the sample, while for solid samples, the solid sample must be converted into a liquid sample first.
Structural features of solid phase extraction vacuum device:

3. The glass vacuum tank is formed by a quartz glass mold, and its wall thickness is uniform, so it can withstand high negative pressure above -80Kpa.
4. The extraction column tray and collection rack are made of special polymer materials, which are beautiful and corrosion-resistant, and can be used under high pressure for a long time.
5. The top cover of the vacuum device is made of imported Teflon, which is resistant to strong acid and alkali liquids.
6. The pressure regulating valve is made of sanitary 316L stainless steel, which is durable, resistant to corrosion and high and low temperature.
7. It is recommended to use our SCI-NV series oil-free vacuum pump, which is silent and oil-free and maintenance-free.
